Philosophy

Mr. Smart is an experienced lawyer, who is accessible to his clients, and keeps them informed about the progress of their cases. He believes in providing high quality legal representation at reasonable prices. He wants his clients to say, “Now I can relax. Bob Smart is taking care of it.”

Mr. Smart is a zealous advocate for his clients, within the bounds of the law. He believes that the best lawyers are true to their word. Effective advocacy and negotiation require trust.

Mr. Smart believes in community service. He served as a Town Meeting member in Needham for over 20 years, a Needham Planning Board member for 10 years, co-founded the Needham Chess Club for elementary students, provides pro bono representation to his church, and is a long time member of the Needham Exchange Club.
